wir freuen uns, Ihnen mitteilen zu dürfen, dass das Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg Herrn Prof. Dr. Robert Zeiser mit dem Landesforschungspreis 2026 für Angewandte Forschung ausgezeichnet hat.

Der mit insgesamt 200.000 Euro dotierte Preis ist die am höchsten dotierte Forschungsauszeichnung eines Bundeslandes und würdigt alle zwei Jahre exzellente wissenschaftliche Leistungen über alle Disziplinen hinweg.

Die Jury würdigt damit Prof. Zeisers Arbeit an der Schnittstelle zwischen immunologischer Grundlagenforschung und klinischer Anwendung. Seine Forschung setzt neue Maßstäbe inder Stammzelltransplantation und der Immuntherapie. Das Ziel der Arbeit von Prof. Zeiser ist es, neue Erkenntnisse über Immunvorgänge bei Tumorerkrankungen und Abstoßungsreaktionen nach Transplantationen direkt in klinische Studien zu überführen. Diese Forschung hat bereits:

  • zu innovativen Behandlungsstrategien geführt.
  • die Therapieoptionen für Patientinnen und Patienten nachhaltig verbessert.
  • Einfluss auf neue Therapien und veränderte Behandlungsleitlinien genommen.

Connecting investigators and other visionaries aiming to boost cancer research with the help of modern AI methods. Bringing together leading experts from interdisciplinary fields such as physicians, computer scientists, cell and molecular biologists, as well as from pharma and the med-tech industry. We are exploring new pathways in cancer treatment with AI together. Our common goal: push the boundaries of what is possible. Joining forces, we can learn to cure cancer.

AIM OF THE CONFERENCE

The theme of the symposium is AI-assisted cancer research, and our aim is to present the states-of-the art in cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment with data-driven methods.
